Field Museum

We were getting a little cabin fever, since the weather has been so crummy and we have been indoors a lot... so we decided to head to Chicago on Sunday. We ended up going to the Field Museum. Mike's sister and two nephews joined us and we had a lot of fun. There was a huge kids area with interactive games and things for the kids. Noah was able to dig for fossils and Kylie had a blast hearing the animal sounds and pointing to the different animals. After the kids were tired from playing, us adults were able to go see the exhibits we wanted to see. I think we found our new favorite museum.

Blocks

My sister got Kylie these large cardboard building blocks for Christmas and I absolutly love them! Mike and I have tons of fun building huge towers. Kylie loves to help. She laughs so loud when you hold her up and she gets to put a block on. Then, she likes to knock the tower down.

Christmas

I know this is a little late, but things have gotten a little busy around here. We had a wonderful Christmas. We started our celebrations the Saturday before, having Michael's family over to celebrate. It was so nice to have everyone together and able to stay the entire time. We ate, drank, opened presents, and concluded the evening with Michael shaving his grandfather's head! The day before Christmas eve, we found time to make some cookies for Santa... even if we did forget to leave them out. There's always next year! On Christmas day, Kylie had a visit from Santa and his helper. My dad and sister came over and had breakfast and we opened more presents. Later that night we got together with My dad's side of the family. Our week long festivities ended the Saturday after Christmas at my mom's house. It was a busy week, but lots of fun. Kylie was absolutely spoiled to death. It was nice to be able to seperate our families over the week so we could spend a complete evening with each side!
