All bundled up and ready to play!

After the holiday chaos is done, I run out of things to blog about. It has been a miserable winter here in Chicagoland. I love the snow... before Christmas, but afterwards it can just go away. We have had the second snowiest winter on record. That in itself isn't bad, but the frigid temperatures that have come with it make it horrible this year. We haven't seen above 10 degrees for a long time!!! It makes it hard to go out and enjoy the monster snow piles we have. A few days ago it peeked to about 20..yeah! So we bundled our cabin-fevered little girl up and took her and Shea dog to the park to play. She loves to go down the slides in her snowsuit and end up in a pile of snow. She literally flies down them.. it's kind of scary but she always smiles and runs back to do it again. And Shea gets some well needed exercise while one of us throws the frisbee for him. That poor puppy is so neglected in the winter, but I swear we make up for it in the warm weather. Here are some pictures:

Potty Training Blues

We have been working on potty training with Kylie for the last month or so. We really want her to be out of diapers by the time that number two comes along and time seems to be flying by. No one ever told me it was going to be this hard! Some days it seems as though she is really getting the hang of it. She even wanted to wear her big girl panties out to the store the other day, and with lots of precautions and a very worried mommy, she did a great job and made it there and home dry!!! Then there are days like today where I will continuously ask her to try and she'll tell me "NO!" and then proceeds to have an accident no more than two minutes later. ARG! I get very tired of changing clothes and cleaning carpets. I am hoping this won't last too much longer or I won't have much sanity left for number two!
